Renovated Sento (public bath) is reborn as the newly opened “Kamenoko Tawashi (tortoise shaped scrubbing brush)” shop near to Nezu Station!
A traditional scrubbing brush shop “Kamenoko Tawashi”, established in 1907, has moved to the site near to Nezu Station at the end of November, 2020. They renovated 75-year old Sento building and opened the new antenna shop. The size of the former antenna shop on Hebi-michi in downtown Yanaka was only 5 tsubo (approx. 16 square meters) but the new shop is more spacious with the high ceiling of Sento. Larger space enables to carry large selection of goods. There are sink corner to try using Tawashi and café corner is attached to the shop. During your downtown stroll, please drop in to see and experience using the classic Japanese cleaning tool, “Tawashi”.
Sento “Miyanoyu” building was renovated to a new shop. Tortois marked signboard is the landmark of the shop.
Spacious shop. Kitchen goods are sold besides Tawashi.

Soft and bendable Shuro Tawashi is good for cleaning cutting board, glassware and cooking appliances.
